Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1994, originally under the name Kara's Flowers while its members were still in high school. The group currently consists of Adam Levine (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Jesse Carmichael (keyboards, rhythm guitar, backing vocals), James Valentine (lead guitar, backing vocals), Matt Flynn (drums), PJ Morton (keyboards, backing vocals), and Sam Farrar (bass). After a first album as Kara's Flowers, the band reformed as Maroon 5 in 2001, adopting a more pop and R&B-oriented sound.
Their debut album, "Songs About Jane" (2002), was a massive success, propelled by singles like "Harder to Breathe," "This Love," and "She Will Be Loved," selling millions of copies and earning them their first Grammy for Best New Artist in 2005. Throughout their career, they have released multiple successful albums such as "It Won't Be Soon Before Long" (2007), "Hands All Over" (2010), "Overexposed" (2012), "V" (2014), "Red Pill Blues" (2017), and "Jordi" (2021), cementing their place in popular music with an impressive list of number-one hits and sold-out world tours. Their ability to fuse genres and create catchy melodies has allowed them to remain relevant in the music industry for over two decades, always delivering an unforgettable live experience.
Adam Levine confirmed that Maroon 5 will release their eighth studio album in the summer of 2025, with a first single expected by the end of April 2025.
Along with the new album, Maroon 5 is planning a world tour that could begin in late 2025, visiting multiple cities in Europe and Latin America.
Maroon 5 collaborated with LISA of BLACKPINK on their new single 'PRICELESS', released via 222 / Interscope Records, marking their first collaboration with a K-pop artist.
